Matthias De Potter is the founder of Aspilon and has lived his entire life with a port-wine stain. Over the years, he underwent numerous laser treatments and spent more than a decade searching for effective ways to cover his birthmark in daily life. When he could not find makeup that combined reliable coverage with respect for skin health, he decided to create it himself. Aspilon was founded from this lived experience, with the goal of developing skin-beneficial, buildable coverage for people with visible skin differences — in close collaboration with dermatology experts.

She leads the scientific development behind Aspilon. All Aspilon products are developed in-house in Belgium, with a focus on skin barrier repair, hydration, and sun protection, combined with buildable coverage designed for people with skin differences. Her expertise ensures that every formula supports skin health first, while allowing flexible correction for sensitive and reactive skin.
